death in the oceans

Tritium build up at the Fukushima nuclear power plants is making it almost impossible to work on the problem.

300 tons of radioactive water are pouring into the ocean at Fukushima daily.

30 gigabecquerels of radioactive cesium 137 are going into the water every day.

30 gigabecquerels of radioactive strontium are going into the water every day.

40 terabecquerels of tritium are going into the water every day.

This is dumping 100 times as much radioactivity than what was released at Chernobyl radioactive accident.

Our days of eating Pacific fish are over.

Iodine 131, cesium 137 and strontium 90 will affect everyone living in the northern hemisphere for a very long time.

Iodine 131 collects in the thyroid, damaging the thyroid including cancer.
Iodine 129 also spewed forth from the damaged reactor. Incredibly, this radioisotope has a half-life of 16 million years.

cesium 137 collects all over the body, but especially in the muscles.

Strontium 90's collects in our bones.  Its half life is 29 years.

All of this will go into the Arctic and Indian oceans and then into the Atlantic ocean.

The American west coast from Mexico to Alaska will be affected for decades.

The cleanup of the Fukushima reactor could take up to 40 years to complete.

This cleanup, if handled badly, could affect humanity for thousands of years.

Here are several precautions that can help shield individuals from a radioactive food supply:
- View all fish and crustaceans from the Pacific Ocean as tainted.
- Always use filtered water for cooking and drinking.
- Pay attention to the origin of dairy.
- Wash any produce thoroughly with natural soap and rinse with purified water.
- Avoid meat from contaminated regions (including wild game).
- Remove radiation from some of your produce with Calcium Bentonite Clay.
