Is there a disturbing pattern recurring through the generations of your family? Can the pattern be broken? YES! Absolutely! Jesus sets people free. Check out Luke 4:18-19. Also have a look at Matthew 10:8.

The following is a simplified liturgy for generational healing. It has been adapted from a generational healing Eucharist as used by The Falls Church - Anglican in Falls Church, Virginia. It doesn't require clergy. I hope this may be helpful for you.

Leader: Blessed be God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
People: And blessed be His kingdom, now and forever. Amen.
Leader: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Leader: Let us pray.
Together: Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords, mercifully grant that the families we bring before you now, who have been divided and enslaved by sin and hurt, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.

Renunciation of Occult Involvement

Leader and People:
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I renounce all satanic, occult, pagan, Yoga, Masonic or new age practices that I or any other member of my family line, past or present, may have engaged in.
Mention those practices which you personally wish to renounce.

Leader and People:
I ask Jesus Christ to forgive me, my family members, and my ancestors for turning from Him to these evil imitations of his knowledge and power. I send my forgiveness to any person in my family line who has indulged in these or other sinful practices. I ask Jesus to heal me and my family members of any harm that these practices may have done.
Ask forgiveness for any specific practices you wish to mention.

Leader and People:
I renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God.
I renounce the evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God.
I renounce all sinful desires that draw me from the love of God.
I turn to Jesus Christ and accept Him as my Savior.
I put my whole trust in His grace and love.
I promise to follow and obey Him as my Lord. Amen.

Prayers for Generational Healing

Leader: Almighty and everlasting God, please gather together all of the generations of our family lines, past and present, that we may be healed of all hurts and freed from all bondage. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We thank you for all those in our family lines who through their love and care passed down to us peace, love, and an ability to know you and your son, Jesus Christ. (Mention names) Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We pray for those in past or present generations who may have sinned against you and hurt others by engaging in occult practices, in idolatry, in pagan or satanic worship, and all of the abominations associated with those practices. (Mention names). Please forgive those actions and break the hold these sinful practices have in our families. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We pray for those in past or present generations who may have sinned against you and hurt others through their actions of physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect. (Mention names). Please forgive those actions and break the hold these sins have on our families. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We pray for those in this generation who may have sinned against you and hurt others by holding on to anger, unforgiveness, and unrepentant bitterness. (Mention names). Please forgive those thoughts, words and deeds and break the hold anger, unforgiveness, and bitterness in past and present generations have had on our families. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We pray for those in our families who through addiction have lost their health and freedom or for those with chronic illnesses. (Mention names). We ask you to heal them and restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy, breaking the hold addictions and chronic illnesses in past generations have on our families. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We pray for those in past or present generations who may have sinned against you and hurt others by committing suicide or murder. (Mention names). We ask you to forgive those actions and break the hold these patterns have on our families. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We now commend into your hands anyone in our family lines who committed suicide, was stillborn, aborted, miscarried, was cut off from the family, or who died an untimely death (Mention names). Receive them into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We now send our love, blessing and forgiveness back to those who hurt members of our families. We also send our love, blessing and forgiveness to members of our family lines who sinned against others. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We ask you to forgive those of us in this present generation and our progeny for any way in which we may have given in to the tendency to sin in the same way our forebears did. Forgive us and restore us to life and health. Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: We offer prayers for those family members who are in special need of your healing touch. (Mention names.) Lord, in your mercy.
People: Hear our prayer.

Leader: O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through your Son Jesus Christ. Look with compassion on the whole human family and the families represented here; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls which separate us; unite us in bonds of love in Christ; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish Your purposes on earth; that in Your good time, all nations and races may serve You in harmony around Your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
People: Amen.

Leader and People:
In the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of His cross and blood, we now break and make null and void any curses, contracts, hexes, spells, or pacts made against us, any members of our families, or our family lines, or by any member of our family lines against another person. We break and make null and void any inner vows or judgments made against our family lines, or by any of our family lines against another person. We place the cross and blood of Jesus between the past generations of our families and the present generation, cutting off any evil that could harm it. Amen.

Leader: Almighty Father, we ask that you reveal to us any places in our family lines that need further prayers. Break the bondage of sin and ignorance. Look upon all of the people in our families with compassion. Free them that they might come before you in a sure knowledge of your love and forgiveness. Send into every dark and hurting place the love of your Son, Jesus Christ, that those in the present, and future generations may learn to live in wholeness of mind, body and spirit, to the eternal glory of your holy Name, in and through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
People: Amen.

The Peace

Leader: The peace of the Lord be always with you.
People: And also with you.
